What is a Call to Action?
Our Australian Climate Change Education Call to Action details what is currently needed to establish the necessary political landscape for climate action through education. This is a Climate Change Education Strategy for Australia.

The document outlines to our political leaders WHY we need a Climate Change Education Strategy for Australia. We explain what we need to happen, and what we need to make that happen!
The Call to Action will be explored and discussed at our Climate Change Education Summit on Friday, 18th October 2024.
We invited our political leaders to ensure its action! In the Summit, we reported on who responded.
The Call to Action includes some of the data we collected from Australians about their current climate change education practices and what they need to develop these further. This data was collected via an online survey. Please take 10 minutes to add your voice, and share with your networks. This survey closes on the 1st November 2024.
The online, anonymous, voluntary survey received Deakin University ethics approval (reference number: HAE-23-139).
The data collected will inform the Climate Change Education Report. We are not sure what it will look like until we start working with the data that you generate.
Along with the survey we will add data from the highly successful Climate Change Education Speaker Series – 16 amazing provocations in hour long webinar format – have shaped our learning this year.
Also included will be data from our Summit Voices program where over 40 short, case study videos have been developed to share the climate change education being done around Australia currently.
And finally, data collected at the Climate Change Education Summit on the 18th October 2024 will be included.
The resulting Climate Change Education Report will be used to advocate for the embodiment of the Call to Action.
Once we have a draft we will ask you for your thoughts about it and we will continue to draft the plan until we are convinced we have it right.
